The way I plan to get around this limitation is by tightening up my tags and creating page blocks that filter on those. Once IPS gets the tag manager issues fixed, I am going to be doing a massive cleanup on my tags.

This way I'll be able to create an article feed for "sedans" and another for "trucks". With the old system, it was too messy to effectively pull that off.

Yes, tags will be a powerful tool for content discovery. There is also a new tags widget with a menu for selected tags. Even better than just a flat feed for admin-defined tags.
