  1. The mobile navigation bar only gives direct access to the search function and the default activity feed. Everything else is moved to an off-screen sidebar, which needs to be opened manually every time. With this plugin you can add one or two links to the mobile navbar, for example to: make your most important areas (like forums, shop …) more easily accessible on mobile devices link partner or social media sites add staff links to the admin or mod control panel provide more visible login/logout buttons … What’s needed: A stock theme or a custom theme that uses the mobile navbar icons like the stock theme (there is no guarantee that this will work on custom themes) enough space available next to the stock icons Settings: turn link 1 and 2 on or off set the static links set the FontAwesome icons set which groups can see the links checkbox to open links in a new window FAQ: Can I add more than two items? It’s limited to two since that is a safe amount on a stock IPS theme. Is this plugin compatible with the Mobile Create plugin? Yes, but since that plugin already uses up space, you probably only want to add one addition link. Can I also link pages specific to the user, e.g. the user’s profile page? This is not supported currently. Can I use custom images instead of a FontAwesome icon? This is not supported currently.
  2. SuperShow is a widget to show RSS feeds from YouTube in a beautiful and engaging way with thumbnails or even video embeds. A useful addition for almost every community—whether you have your own video channel or just want to show content from around your community topic. What’s needed: your PHP settings need to allow loading external files (allow_url_fopen) and support SimpleXML calls to external sources You can test your server setup in advance with this test script. Download the ZIP and extract it to your website’s root directory. Call the file from the browser and check the output. If you see a list of video titles, your current PHP setup is supported. If you see an error message, you cannot currently use SuperShow. (Don’t forget to delete the file after the test.) Features/Settings: Supported Feeds: YouTube: Channels and Playlists Film Roll – Show 3 thumbnails from the video Columns – three, two or one video columns which collapse if necessary (setting not used in the sidebar) Video embed – embed the video itself instead of just showing a thumbnail (setting not used in the sidebar) Number of entries (maximum values are defined through YouTube) Use hi-res thumbnail Show channel name for each video (useful for playlists which include content from different creators) Show subscribe button (for YouTube channel feeds) below the feed Notes: The Vimeo widget available in version before 1.1.0 has been removed since Vimeo limited its RSS feed. The content, ordering and maximum number of items is entirely defined through the YouTube RSS feeds. I cannot influence it. For example: YouTube channel feeds show the latest video first, but YouTube playlists use the order of the playlist itself. If you want to change the order of a playlist feed, you would have to change it on YouTube. Colors are inherited from the active theme without any additional settings. If something looks odd, please adjust your theme colors. Caching is handled through the IPS core software and defined by your settings for sidebar/block caching. Just as the RSS feeds are public, the SuperShow feeds are public by default. There are no permission settings. The widget just styles the publicly available RSS feeds. Should YouTube limit or stop their RSS feeds, this plugin will stop working. You have been warned. 😉
  3. My files on the IPS Marketplace will usually work fine for every third level release of the second level release they were made for. So a release for IPS 4.2.0 should work for 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.2.3 and so on or I will provide an update free of charge. After a new second level release of the IPS Community suite I will revisit the file. It may or may not need changes and I may or may not discontinue the file. Usually I will offer an update free of charge, but I reserve the right to not provide a version for the new second level release, e.g. because the functionality is not needed anymore or the number of sales doesn’t justify the work for the update. Also keep in mind that support is only provided for the latest release of the IPS Community Suite. If the current release is 4.3.6 and you are still at 4.3.1 because you don’t have an active IPS license, I might not be able to help you. The problems you have might be resolved after an upgrade and I might not be able to test problems on older releases, so I need to ask you to upgrade to the latest release first.
